Solar Powered Homes and Greenhouses Use the
Energy of the Sun to Provide Heat and Light for Living. Our homes are
extremely comfortable, and use the energy that surrounds us everyday
for living instead of fossil fuels that damage the environment when
mined and burned. Our homes are heated hydronically, providing a
comfortable heat that many with limited circulation or arthritis of the
knees and feet find very helpful.
We design, build, and service solar powered greenhouses, homes and solariums using the latest technologies. These include
♣ Highly insulated EPS wall/roof systems with R factors up to 100. ♣ High Efficiency Solar Space & Water Heating (hydronic heat) ♣ Solar Cells and Battery Systems ♣ Efficient LED Lights designed for plants ♣ Space Efficient Plant Rack Systems
We build homes in the upper Midwest, with a focus on Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana
Until recently, the biggest challenge with solar power has been the inability to capture energy when it is plentiful, and use it when needed. Our company has used our expertise in construction and advanced technology to identify and implement the best technologies to concentrate, store, and use solar energy. We have developed an energy vault that allows for the storage of energy collected in the summer and fall for the winter heating season. The energy vault is sized to provide sufficient heat to make it through an average winter. For more severe winters, we provide the ability to supplement the heat stored in the energy vault using a wood stove.
All of the materials in our construction can be recycled, including the insulation, metals (copper, aluminum, and steel). Our energy vault is constructed using non-toxic materials and typically buried underground.
We provide design services, sell solar components, and build turnkey systems. We have more than 25 years experience in the design and construction field, and have completed hundreds of projects in the commercial and residential areas. These projects include homes, malls, restaurants, and bars.
The federal government is encouraging installation of systems providing renewable power with a 30% tax credit for home and business owners. Eligibility for this tax credit requires product certification by the Solar Research Council Corporation (SRCC). All of our products and installation services qualify for these tax credits.
