This is our fully solar model greenhouse/solarium.  This greenhouse has Polygal(TM) glazing (R3) and has low E windows and doors.  This model is equipped with two solar hot water panels capable of collecting 86,000 BTUs of heat energy per day.  It also has two solar PV panels which can collect up to 3 kilowatts of electrical energy per day.  This electrical energy is used to drive custom LED lights to extend the growing hours of the plants.

In addition to state-of-the-art solar components, this model is equipped with an energy vault which stores sufficient heat energy to take the greenhouse through several weeks of overcast or grey days. In the event that additional heat energy is required, a high efficiency (95%) hot water tank is used to supply the needed heat.
